That is why it is called the beautiful game. Unless you watch the Malaysian Super League or German Bundesliga or Italian Serie A, that is. Or if you watched Arsenal's game over the weekend, the injury to Ramsey was definitely not a pretty sight. (Hope he recovers soon)
A lot of people may beg to differ but I do think that some footballers (some of the best in the world) are like artists, and the football field is their canvas. And some, of course play the least pretty football. Gattuso, Roy Keane, Vieira all come to mind.
But one has to remember, football is a team game, and for the team to win a game, all players must play in tune with each other. Just like an orchestra. Every person has a different role in the game.
And watching a good team play is like watching a very good symphony in action ;-p
