A dozen ideas; lessons in life...
...I had earlier while i was watching tv and reading the papers. now that i've sat myself in front of the computer my mind goes blank. What the hell did i want to talk about just now? Oh well, since i've forgotten, might as well continue some random blabber. Well the only thing i managed to remember is i wanted to say something like, erm,... well it would contain a paragraph like this:-
" I'm a ship, out in the sea, in the eye of a storm. In the total darkness i seek the warm rays of light house. Looking for a port to call home. Suddenly, i catch a sight of the light in the distance and then i start to steer towards the lighthouse, thinking that it would lead me to salvation. And once i'm close, the light suddenly goes off! And now i'm lost again, knowing i'm near land but also in grave danger cause i might be near the cliffs or shallow water, which will cause my boat to run aground. Now the my ship is left in a more precarious situation, just as lost, but in more danger than i previously was."

Oh well, anyways, since i cant remember, back to some random rambling below:-
1. People who make plans are people who are very insecure. Had they been so sure of themselves, they never have to plan anything at all. it would just fall into place or things will work out themselves. Wrong!!! The people who dont bother to make any plans are people who usually take things for granted. They always think that things will always work in their favour and they should just wing it. When things dont go their way, some will whine about it. Don't whine, you probably deserve it. These people are probably too spoilt cause they have things their way too often that they can't appreciate the fact that life is uncertain and that not everything will go your way if you don't plan for them to work in your favour.
2. Somethings cannot be taken for granted. This especially applies to some ppl who are not grateful for what they have already. Sometimes it is jsut right in front of them all the time and they continue whining and complaining. They forget how lucky they are and how well people have treated them. Yet they do nothing in return and expect people to treat them the same way. And finally, when the other party gets sick of being under appreciated and decides to move on, then the person (might) realise that they have not been putting up enough effort or showing enough gratitude all along. To those who have learnt their lesson and have made changes to their lives, I salute you for realising that the world does not revolve around you. Start paying attention to the people around you, especially to those who have been treating you well. Give them the credit they deserve, not just lip service. To those who still dont learn, well they wouldn't know what hit them anyway. they would still continue complaining but now to a different person who is willing to listen as the others who used to stand by them has left for good. That person wouldnt even know that this paragraph is dedicated to them even as they read it now. ;-p
3. Be honest and truthful to yourself and everyone you love. Dont give people false hope or even worse, leave them hanging by a thread. When you have chosen some1 to love, please do not go and continue leaving your heart open to other people. That would be unfair for the people you love and the people who love you. If you cant be fair to them, be honest, at the very least. Don't ever settle for them and use the excuse i" did it only because of you" shit to them. Not only is it insulting to them, it hurts as hell. If you can't grow up and decide what you want in a relationship, then don't get into one. Cause it would be akin to letting a kid play with fire. SOmebody's gonna get some real hurtin'.
3.5 And again, dont ever tell people what they want to hear jsut because you feel "obligated" to tell them. Dont tell them things you dont really mean (sometimes, people do it, out of compassion and love i.e. You are a really good singer). Telling them these lies and encouraging them will only lead them to believe that what you make of them is really true. And when they finally find out that it was wrong or fake, you will break the persons heart and could as well, embarass the person.
4. Had dinner with my friend earlier and we started chatting. And one of the things I told him was to start acting like an adult. We are all adults and if we wish to be treated as one, we need to show that we are capable of making decisions, no matter how painful that is. Being an adult means making decisions and being responsible for them. Avoiding responsibilities is just plain childish. Of course a lot of things make you feel good. But you cant have them all, and thats a fact of life.
4.5 Just because you want everything that feels good to you doesnt mean it is fair for others. We are not 5 year olds. We cannot play with one toy and then, at the next moment pick up another toy we like, or play with all the toys just because it makes us feel good. You cannot just simply dump toys everywhere as and when you like and pick them up whenever you feel like it. You are in fact being selfish as you are only thinking of yourself. Have you thought of how others will feel when they find out you are taking more than your fair share? There is a saying in hokkien, which when loosely translated means, when you are a soldier, you cannot be afraid of the gun. What that means is that you must know what you are getting yourself into and cannot be afraid of the consequences.
5. Sigh, but then again, who am i to say so many things and try to teach people how to behave? I'm not that good of a person after all. I am after all, been known to some people as a murderer or killer. And no, it doesn't sit well with me after i found out about the gravity of what i have done. Maybe the reason i am where i am is because i deserved it. And i always wondered what i did to deserve to be in the situation i am in. I have always thought i have not done much wrong and sin in my life. But I just realised tonight, there are things i have done last time without a blink of the eye and I have changed history somewhat. I guess if this is the punishment for what i have done sometime ago, i guess i shouldn't complain after all, since it isn't so bad compared to what i've done. Its probably bad karma coming back to bite me. I guess thats what happens to people who destroy the fruits of other people's labour.
6. Now that I've jsut realised the gravity of my mistake, I dont know how i'm going to live the rest of my life. It didnt seem like a mistake, and it doesnt feel like a mistake, but that doesnt mean it isn't. I really thought i did the right thing at that moment in time. To save lives. At the expense of others. I guess having all the money in the world wouldnt save me from what i;ve done, but i guess, i'll jsut have to live my life and try to make as much amends as i can while i am still living and breathing.
7. I guess i deserve what i'm getting at the moment. I cant complain. I was given a ray of light. I followed the light from the lighthouse. I believed that it would finally take me home. Now the lights are fading and i'm getting worried. What should i do? The signals are weak, and i'm left grasping at hopes that i would find home, but now am in more despair then ever. Do i deserve a stronger light from the lighthouse? I don't know. maybe thats what i deserve to get. Payback's a b****! Sigh, just karma, i guess.

We cannot play with one toy and then, at the next moment pick up another toy we like, or play with all the toys just because it makes us feel good. You cannot just simply dump toys everywhere as and when you like and pick them up whenever you feel like it. You are in fact being selfish as you are only thinking of yourself. Have you thought of how others will feel when they find out you are taking more than your fair share? There is a saying in hokkien, which when loosely translated means, when you are a soldier, you cannot be afraid of the gun. What that means is that you must know what you are getting yourself into and cannot be afraid of the consequences.
5. Sigh, but then again, who am i to say so many things and try to teach people how to behave? I'm not that good of a person after all. I am after all, been known to some people as a murderer or killer. And no, it doesn't sit well with me after i found out about the gravity of what i have done. Maybe the reason i am where i am is because i deserved it. And i always wondered what i did to deserve to be in the situation i am in. I have always thought i have not done much wrong and sin in my life. But I just realised tonight, there are things i have done last time without a blink of the eye and I have changed history somewhat. I guess if this is the punishment for what i have done sometime ago, i guess i shouldn't complain after all, since it isn't so bad compared to what i've done. Its probably bad karma coming back to bite me. I guess thats what happens to people who destroy the fruits of other people's labour.
6. Now that I've jsut realised the gravity of my mistake, I dont know how i'm going to live the rest of my life. It didnt seem like a mistake, and it doesnt feel like a mistake, but that doesnt mean it isn't. I really thought i did the right thing at that moment in time. To save lives. At the expense of others. I guess having all the money in the world wouldnt save me from what i;ve done, but i guess, i'll jsut have to live my life and try to make as much amends as i can while i am still living and breathing.
7. I guess i deserve what i'm getting at the moment. I cant complain. I was given a ray of light. I followed the light from the lighthouse. I believed that it would finally take me home. Now the lights are fading and i'm getting worried. What should i do? The signals are weak, and i'm left grasping at hopes that i would find home, but now am in more despair then ever. Do i deserve a stronger light from the lighthouse? I don't know. maybe thats what i deserve to get. Payback's a b****! Sigh, just karma, i guess.

Painful, paintball weekend
Well, it wasn't exactly painful in a physical manner.
Kicked off the weekend going to the gym to work out before beating the jam to reach Bandar Sri Damansara by 8pm.
Lucky i arrived with time to spare. Since JT had already Tarpau-ed dinner (KFC :( ) we just had KFC while waiting for the others to arrive. And of course, that was the main reason why we had KFC, cause it was a friday night and every1 would arrive at different times, hence it would be difficult for us to go out for dinner together.
In the meantime, we were entertained by JT's pet of 5 months, a cute little Schnauzer by the name of JJ. He was a very cute and fun pet, rarely making even a bark while he playfully ran around the house chasing the balls we threw at him. Even his fur was silky soft. And since the floor was nicely mopped clean, we enjoyed seeing him run and slide all over the floor, hahaha!! When he was tired, he would just lie flat on the floor with both front and hind legs stretched out.
Once every1 arrived we chatted and did lots of catching up as we have not met some for about 1 year already. Then it was back to the regular CNY business of investing/ speculating/ gambling. Most of them decided to play texas hold 'em style poker, which i'm totally unfamiliar with. It was made famous in the James Bond movie "Casino Royale". SO a few of us got a quick lesson in how to play. Well, all in all, i was taught a lesson during the game and i was the first to lose all my money. Didnt like the game at all, hahaha
Then later the few of us who lost all our money played mahjong while waiting for the rest to finish the poker game. And by 12 most of them have decided to go back since they were already tired from work. The 4 of us remained to play "In Between" which, again I lost (only due to 1 very unfortunate turn). I cant complain about being unlucky cause i won most of the time, just not in huge amounts, LOL!! But it sure hurts like hell!!
So yes, i felt the pain from a financial perspective. Later we went to McD's for a quick drink, which was of course financed partly by me cause i lost the most. By the time I got back to JT's place it was about 3 something in the morning. I crashed at about 4am while JT was still DOTA-ing till god knows what time.
By the time i woke up it was 8am and i jumped out of bed. QUickly took a quick shower and packed my stuff. Thanked JT for allowing me to crash at his place (although he promised to take me out for breakfast, but we both overslept).
Headed towards Tanamera Paintball park located somewhere in Sungai Buloh (its actually along the way towards kuala selangor). The place was quite easy to find and only 20 minutes from JT's place in Sri Damansara. It would have taken me an hours drive from Sg Long.
Arrived the at about 9.45 and waited for the rest of our gang to arrive. The arrived at about 10.20am and we duly registered for our gear. We then had a briefing before we headed to our first game in a map they called Lake Placid. It was a 40 vs 40 player map, with pros and newbie playing together in a elimination style match. That kind asucked cause I ddint stand a chance playing against them. Our side lost the game and then we switched sides. Of course then i still sucked so we lost again. Then we breaked for lunch. During our long break i had the chance to practice my shooting at the practice range.
When we had our own private game, it was more fun cause all of us were newbies and we had the same equipment, lol!! So that was a great 2 hours of fun. Some came back with bad bruises. I thought i didnt get any, but during a shower just now, i just realised i had a bruise on the inside of my right arm, above the elbow. Well, thats a small injury compared to those I've seen. And Good considered i got shot thrice in the head and survived ;-p!!
Woke yo this morning having to rush from market to Tesco and then back to the market as my mum invited a few relatives and friends over. Then fried sambal continuosly till my arms were tired... But glad it was all worth it sinc esome of my "investments" paid off earlier. Though they weren;t enough to cover the huge losses on Friday night, i can't complain at all.
Hopefully, I'll get a chance to go witness the orange throwing event in Cheras tomoro in conjunction with CHap Goh Mei. Any1 wants to follow me? heheh...

Well , the video and lyrics seems to strike a chord in me. The video shows the guy going thru the same thing over and over again at the end of the video. To him its just a vicious cycle, with nowhere to go. The relationship doesnt seem to be going anywhere, despite them loving each other a lot.
However, things change and all he wishes is to see the same person he fell in love, to be back in those times when they were happy. but in front of him now stands some1 different. He's apologising for not being to hold to this relationship but it is not his fault. As much as he tries, its beyond his control.
It's a really sad song, and looking at the video i feel sorry for Adam Levine, although i think he is also a lucky bastard to act in that music Video!

This really got me thinking the whole of last night and today. Well it was only for a total of 2 hours at most as I fell asleep thinking about it, and I continued thinking about after I woke up and drove to work.
Yes, A person’s words and actions towards another means a lot. Here, I’m talking about on a personal level (i.e. friends, family and etc; whomever you are close with). As a friend to many people (well, ok, I’m lying, to a few people), I personally feel that what I do or say will reflect what I think of them. Of course you can try to disguise it if you don’t really like the person, but why live a lie?
So yes, all my friends know me for being frank and direct. And just by saying we are friends doesn’t really mean we are friends. We have to behave like friends. And this not only applies to your friends, it applies to your family, your spouse, your boyfriend/girlfriend and et cetera. Anybody can say, “Hey, that guy, Mr. X is my friend. I’ve known him for a very long time.” So what if you have known him for a very long time? Time is bollocks!! It is what you do or say that is more important than anything else in the world.
Of course, the weight of a person’s words can be as precious as gold or as cheap as an egg. It’s really up to that person to decide how willing he/she is to make his statement true. Anybody can say, “I love you”, “Lets meet up!”, or the all time Malaysian favourite, “Eh Next time “yumcha”!!”. Yes, all these phrases don’t mean a damn thing if all the person does is just say it. A third party who hears it may think wow, this people are really close. But in the end it is not what other people think that matters, it is what the other person’s; whom you spoke to, thoughts that matter.
Yes, growing up and experiencing all those bullsh!t promises has made me a more caring person. I’ve learnt to behave the opposite of what I’ve experienced to people who mean the most to me. I’ve always tried my best to honour my word when I say,”Let’s meet up!” Especially to people whom I’m really close to. But then again, more often than not, some of them take it for granted that I will always do things for them or act on what I say that they just sit back and wait for action on my end. Yes, most of the time I do it because of my principles and what my past has taught me.
But then again, sometimes I realize that, “Hey, this isn’t right! Why should I always initiate something?”
Would anybody care to take over what I do? Or is it that they have far more important things in their life than me, so they also actually do organizing, but only with the people who matter to them, and in that case I am not in their list then. Well, sometimes that maybe the case, and sometimes it is not.
Somehow, I just get this feeling that I’m not on most of my friend’s list, hence their lack of pro-active action. =(
Well, I think its just today. I just woke up feeling really sick of phrases like:-
Hey let’s meet up! (Never happens, without me initiating)
I’ll call you back later (Which then doesn’t happen)
Erm, I’ll let you know, cause if I have nothing to do then I’ll come (which means your event is the least important or meaningful to me)
I love you (… erm… well then show it! ;-p)
Okay! Sure! Lets go on a holiday. Its about time we went holiday together… (then nothing happens on their end)
Well, I’m only sick when people say those phrases to me. But to other people, they are more than willing to act on the above statements. Sigh… I guess I know where I stand now… You may call me whatever you want (friend or etc). You can tell people who I am to you. Heck I’m fine with that! But, don’t take me for granted and say things which you don’t ever mean. One thing my experience has taught me is to be considerate of every1 else, but not to close my heart to them. Had I been a stubborn person, I wouldn’t have given a damn! But the thing is, I’ve grown up wanting to be a better person and opening myself to other people. And that also means, opening myself to get hurt. Unfortunately, that’s how I want to project myself, as a good person who is a very willing friend and more!!
To those who read this, I hope you learn from it. And to those who consider themselves my friends or more than that, stop saying those lines if you don’t plan to act on it. Your words and actions means a lot to me. Just like the title of my blog! You have to be seen doing what you say!

This really got me thinking the whole of last night and today. Well it was only for a total of 2 hours at most as I fell asleep thinking about it, and I continued thinking about after I woke up and drove to work.
Yes, A person’s words and actions towards another means a lot. Here, I’m talking about on a personal level (i.e. friends, family and etc; whomever you are close with). As a friend to many people (well, ok, I’m lying, to a few people), I personally feel that what I do or say will reflect what I think of them. Of course you can try to disguise it if you don’t really like the person, but why live a lie?
So yes, all my friends know me for being frank and direct. And just by saying we are friends doesn’t really mean we are friends. We have to behave like friends. And this not only applies to your friends, it applies to your family, your spouse, your boyfriend/girlfriend and et cetera. Anybody can say, “Hey, that guy, Mr. X is my friend. I’ve known him for a very long time.” So what if you have known him for a very long time? Time is bollocks!! It is what you do or say that is more important than anything else in the world.
Of course, the weight of a person’s words can be as precious as gold or as cheap as an egg. It’s really up to that person to decide how willing he/she is to make his statement true. Anybody can say, “I love you”, “Lets meet up!”, or the all time Malaysian favourite, “Eh Next time “yumcha”!!”. Yes, all these phrases don’t mean a damn thing if all the person does is just say it. A third party who hears it may think wow, this people are really close. But in the end it is not what other people think that matters, it is what the other person’s; whom you spoke to, thoughts that matter.
Yes, growing up and experiencing all those bullsh!t promises has made me a more caring person. I’ve learnt to behave the opposite of what I’ve experienced to people who mean the most to me. I’ve always tried my best to honour my word when I say,”Let’s meet up!” Especially to people whom I’m really close to. But then again, more often than not, some of them take it for granted that I will always do things for them or act on what I say that they just sit back and wait for action on my end. Yes, most of the time I do it because of my principles and what my past has taught me.
But then again, sometimes I realize that, “Hey, this isn’t right! Why should I always initiate something?”
Would anybody care to take over what I do? Or is it that they have far more important things in their life than me, so they also actually do organizing, but only with the people who matter to them, and in that case I am not in their list then. Well, sometimes that maybe the case, and sometimes it is not.
Somehow, I just get this feeling that I’m not on most of my friend’s list, hence their lack of pro-active action. =(
Well, I think its just today. I just woke up feeling really sick of phrases like:-
Hey let’s meet up! (Never happens, without me initiating)
I’ll call you back later (Which then doesn’t happen)
Erm, I’ll let you know, cause if I have nothing to do then I’ll come (which means your event is the least important or meaningful to me)
I love you (… erm… well then show it! ;-p)
Okay! Sure! Lets go on a holiday. Its about time we went holiday together… (then nothing happens on their end)
Well, I’m only sick when people say those phrases to me. But to other people, they are more than willing to act on the above statements. Sigh… I guess I know where I stand now… You may call me whatever you want (friend or etc). You can tell people who I am to you. Heck I’m fine with that! But, don’t take me for granted and say things which you don’t ever mean. One thing my experience has taught me is to be considerate of every1 else, but not to close my heart to them. Had I been a stubborn person, I wouldn’t have given a damn! But the thing is, I’ve grown up wanting to be a better person and opening myself to other people. And that also means, opening myself to get hurt. Unfortunately, that’s how I want to project myself, as a good person who is a very willing friend and more!!
To those who read this, I hope you learn from it. And to those who consider themselves my friends or more than that, stop saying those lines if you don’t plan to act on it. Your words and actions means a lot to me. Just like the title of my blog! You have to be seen doing what you say!
