She and Him, performing Sleigh Ride. I love this classic and the soothing voice of Zooey Deschanel. Oh also, I am following her new sitcom called New Girl. I like her quirky character and the supporting cast as well.
The next song I am loving currently is The Script's Nothing. Once again, I like the lyrics of the song and you can feel what its like to be in the position of that person in the song. When all I want is words, I got nothing ~~~
And the 3rd song is one of the most often spun song on radio right now. Christina Perri with A Thousand Years. Loved the first time I heard Jar of Hearts, and the same goes for this song. Very lovable tune and the feeling it evokes is just wonderful. Oh also, unfortunately for the Twilight Soundtrack :-P The Twilight saga movies tend to have a great song selection, so I guess their music team did a great job.
Thats about it for tonight. Will be listening to these songs before I go to sleep. Have a great year ahead people!
Was introduced to this song by a fellow blogger as well as friend.
Its a fairly new song by a fairly new artiste, Hope.
Good move by releasing a first single featuring Jason Mraz.
Very typical "beachy" song. Nice to listen on an easy going day
=)
Enjoy!
Love, Love, Love, Love, Love Giving me Love, Love, Love More than I ever need Love, you’re so distracting Am I overreacting, For feeling this way And ever, since I met ya, I can’t keep my attention And you are to blame
You’re love’s a permanent distraction, A perfect interaction A feeling so extreme I lost my appetite to eat, and I barely get to sleep Cause you’re even in my dreams And I thought that I was strong but I knew that all along, This was out of my control So I fell into your hands, and I don’t know where we’ll land, I’m just going with the flow Love, Love, Love, Love, Love
Somedays, I want to run away This feels so perfect, it’s breaking my heart Yeah we could, we could stay here happy Or after summer, be two worlds apart
You’re love’s a permanent distraction, A perfect interaction A feeling so extreme I lost my appetite to eat, and I barely get to sleep Cause you’re even in my dreams And I thought that I was strong but I knew that all along, This was out of my control So I fell into your hands, and I don’t know where we’ll land, I’m just going with the flow Giving me, Love Love Love, Love Love
More than I ever need Giving me Love Love Love You’re Love, Is coming like a freight train Ain’t nothing gonna stop it, It’s heading for my heart, You’re Love, is bigger than a rain cloud It covered up my whole skies It’s filling up my heart, My heart with Love, Love, Love, Love, Love More than I ever need Giving me Love, Love, Love
You’re love’s a permanent distraction, A perfect interaction A feeling so extreme I lost my appetite to eat, and I barely get to sleep Cause you’re even in my dreams And I thought that I was strong but I knew that all along, This was out of my control So I fell into your hands, and I don’t know where we’ll land, I’m just going with the flow Giving me, Love Love Love, Love Love More than I ever need (Repeat)
Thanks to the posting my ex-gym instructor, I have heard a song which I used to love a lot. I still love this song! Reminds me of the good ole days as usual =)
Enjoy the song by Manbai
Beribu bintang dilangit Kini menghilang Meraba aku dalam kelam Rembulan mengambang Kini makin suram Pudar ilhamku tanpa arah
Sedetik wajahmu muncul Dalam diam Ada kerdipan ada sinar Itukah bintang atau rembulan Terima kasih kuucapkan
1 Izinkan kumencuri bayangan wajahmu Izinkan ku mencuri khayalan denganmu Maafkanlah oh... Andai lagu ini Mengganggu ruangan hidupmu Kau senyumlah oh... Sekadar memori Kita di arena ini Kau ilhamku Kau ilhamku...
I was listening to my songs on my laptop while I was in the office earlier and this song came on. I didn't even know I had this song! Old songs like these just takes you by surprise and let's you reminisce about the times when the song was popular.
This N'SYNC was released at the height of the boy band era in 90s pop music. Back then you had BSB, Five, 911, Westlife and et al trying to capture a share of the music market.
Well this song does bring back memories to the days when I was in secondary school... Great days back then. Football, basketball, puberty and etc...
Lying in your arms So close together Didn't know just what I had Now I toss and turn Cause I'm without you
How I'm missing you so bad Where was my head? Where was my heart? Now I cry alone in the dark
I lay awake I drive myself crazy Drive myself crazy Thinking of you Made a mistake When I let you go baby I drive myself crazy Wanting you the way that I do
I was such a fool I couldn't see it Just how good you were to me
You confessed your love Undying devotion I confessed my need to be free And now I'm left With all this pain I only got myself to blame
(chorus)
Why didn't I know (How much I loved you baby) Why couldn't show it (If I had only told you) When I had the chance Oh I had the chance
Don't know how many people younger than me would remember the song. It was pretty big when I was in primary school. About the time when I was in Standard 1 or 2.
Of course, back then I didn't know what the lyrics were (we didnt have computers and internet then). Back then you could only get the lyrics from those "Galaxie" like magazines.
However, with the explosion as well as the implosion of the internet, we have tonnes of resources at our fingertips, literally. Today, i can view the music video of the song (Never seen it prior to posting this) and seen the full lyrics.
Yes, the human smile is one that can warms people's hearts. It doesnt cost us much to smile and yet it would have a positive effect on the recipient. So smile for all its worth.
I love your smile =) By Shanice
Sitting in my class, just drifting away Staring into the windows of the world I can't hear the teacher, his books don't call me at all I don't see the bad boys tryin' to catch some play...
CHORUS : 'cause I love your smile I love your smile
The clock at work says three And I wanna be free Free to scream, free to bathe, free to paint My toes all day My boss is lame you know, and so is the pay I'm gonna put that new black mini on my charge anyway
(chorus)
Time came and showed me your direction Now I know I'll never ever go back Taught me that I can be a better girl with love you give You rock my world You dig
I'm showin' The life that I'm livin' This is the life that I have And it's given to you
Yeh'and it's true La-d-da Twinkley d do you
Believe in a girl like me Shanice is the one For you to be with
But when I'm caught All alone I start fessin' It's from a state of depression And the thunder clouds of doubt move in I begin to wonder "Do you still love me?" But after that My whole world is beautiful
Time came and showed me your direction Now I know I'll never ever go back Taught me that I can be a better girl with love you give You rock my world You dig
This is a pretty new song (i think) on radio. And to think this song is sung by Paramore is surprising. Well it shouldn't be surprising since most rock bands usually have a famous ballad in their discography anyway.
KInda took a liking to this song and the lyrics seem relatable. ;-p Emo songs like these are always relatable, hehehe.
When I was younger I saw my daddy cry And curse at the wind He broke his own heart And I watched As he tried to reassemble it
And my momma swore that She would never let herself forget And that was the day that I promised I'd never sing of love If it does not exist
But darling, You, are, the only exception You, are, the only exception You, are, the only exception You, are, the only exception
Maybe I know, somewhere Deep in my soul That love never lasts And we've got to find other ways To make it alone Keep a straight face
And I've always lived like this Keeping a comfortable, distance And up until now I had sworn to myself that I'm Content with loneliness
Because none of it was ever worth the risk
Well, You, are, the only exception You, are, the only exception You, are, the only exception You, are, the only exception
I've got a tight grip on reality But I can't Let go of what's in front of me here I know you're leaving In the morning, when you wake up Leave me with some kind of proof it's not a dream
Ohh---
You, are, the only exception You, are, the only exception You, are, the only exception You, are, the only exception You, are, the only exception You, are, the only exception You, are, the only exception You, are, the only exception
And I'm on my way to believing Oh, And I'm on my way to believing
Heard one of the contestants on American Idol sing this song a few days back. Unfortunately, she didn't sing this well enough and was voted off the next day. Maybe the song overpowered her.
The lyrics; was well written, although sometimes words cannot describe the pain we're in, this is comes pretty close.
********DISCLAIMER***************
Do not listen to the song or read the lyrics if you dont want to risk feeling all emotional later on
As I walk this land with broken dreams I have visions of many things Love's happiness is just an illusion Filled with sadness and confusion, What becomes of the broken hearted Who had love that's now departed? I know I've got to find Some kind of peace of mind Maybe.
The fruits of love grow all around But for me they come a tumblin' down. Every day heartaches grow a little stronger I can't stand this pain much longer I walk in shadows Searching for light Cold and alone No comfort in sight, Hoping and praying for someone to care Always moving and goin to where What becomes of the broken hearted Who had love that's now departed? I know I've got to find Some kind of peace of mind Maybe.
I'm searching though I don't succeed, But someone look, there's a growing need. Oh, he is lost, there's no place for beginning, All that's left is an unhappy ending. Now what's become of the broken-hearted Who had love that's now departed? I know I've got to find Some kind of peace of mind I'll be searching everywhere Just to find someone to care. I'll be looking everyday I know I'm gonna find a way Nothings gonna stop me now I'll find a way somehow I'll be searching everywhere
Been listening to bit and pieces of this song when I'm driving. Finally heard the full song and man, I really like this song by Lady Antabellum. Its a country song with a very contemporary feel ;-)
Picture perfect memories, scattered all around the floor Reaching for the phone 'cause I can't fight it anymore And I wonder if I ever cross your mind For me it happens all the time
It's a quarter after one, I'm all alone and I need you now Said I wouldn't call but I've lost all control and I need you now And I don't know how I can do without I just need you now
Another shot of whiskey, can't stop looking at the door Wishing you'd come sweeping in the way you did before And I wonder if I ever cross your mind For me it happens all the time
It's a quarter after one, I'm a little drunk and I need you now Said I wouldn't call but I've lost all control and I need you now And I don't know how I can do without I just need you now
Woah, woah Guess I'd rather hurt than feel nothing at all
It's a quarter after one, I'm all alone and I need you now And I said I wouldn't call but I'm a little drunk and I need you now And I don't know how I can do without I just need you now, I just need you now
THis is a very catchy song from Michael Buble; switched 2 words from the title, hehehe. My fave would still be Home, but this is good stuff especially when I'm stuck in traffic (which is quite often nowadays). Keeps me positive for the rest of the day, not knowing who I'm gonna make happy today :-)
Well, if your not having a good day, don't release the frustration by lashing out.You just haven't met me yet ;-p I'll make you have a good day, or night!
Lyrics
I'm Not Surprised Not Everything Lasts Have Broken My Heart So Many Times, I Stopped Keepin Track. Talk Myself In I Talk Myself Out I Get All Worked Up Then I Let Myself Down.
I Tried So Very Hard Not To Lose It I Came Up With A Million Excuses I Thought I Thought Of Every Possibility
And I Now Someday That It'll All Turn Out You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out And I Promise You Kid That I'll Give So Much More Than I Get I Just Haven't Met You Yet
Mmmmm ....
I Might Have To Wait I'll Never Give Up I Guess It's Half Time And The Other Half's Luck Wherever You Are Whenever It's Right You Come Out Of Nowhere And Into My Life
And I Know That We Can Be So Amazing And Baby Your Love Is Gonna Change Me And Now I Can See Every Possibility
Hmmmmm ......
And Somehow I Know That Will All Turn Out And You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out And I Promise You Kid I'll Give So Much More Than I Get I Just Haven't Met You Yet
They Say All's Fair And In Love And War But I Won't Need To Fight It We'll Get It By It ?? To Be United
And I Know That We Can Be So Amazing And Being In Your Life Is Gonna Change Me And Now I Can See Every Single Possibility
Hmmm .....
And Someday I Know It'll All Turn Out And I'll Work To Work It Out Promise You Kid I'll Give More Than I Get Than I Get Than I Get han I Get
Oh You Know It Will All Turn Out And You'll Make Me Work So We Can Work To Work It Out And I Promise You Kid To Give So Much More Than I Get Yeah I Just Haven't Met You Yet
I Just Haven't Met You Yet Oh Promise You Kid To Give So Much More Than I Get
I Said Love Love Love Love Love Love Love ..... You Just Haven't Met Me Yet Love Love Love ..... You Just Haven't Met Me Yet
THis is a song, which I find very moving. Written by Leonard Cohen, performed by the late Jeff Buckley, and now Bon Jovi.
This is my favourite version, taken from his live album, This Left Feels Right.
The lyrics are powerful and somehow, I can't help but delve myself into this song. Bon Jovi's vocals are amazing as usual.
Lyrics
i heard there was a secret chord that david played and it pleased the lord but you don't really care for music, do you well it goes like this the fourth, the fifth the minor fall and the major lift the baffled king composing hallelujah
hallelujah...
well your faith was strong but you needed proof you saw her bathing on the roof her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you she tied you to her kitchen chair she broke your throne and she cut your hair and from your lips she drew the hallelujah
hallelujah...
baby i've been here before i've seen this room and i've walked this floor i used to live alone before i knew you i've seen your flag on the marble arch but your love is not a victory march it's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah
hallelujah...
well there was a time when you let me know what's really going on below but now you never show that to me do you but remember when i moved in you and the holy dove was moving too and every breath we drew was hallelujah
well, maybe there's a god above but all i've ever learned from love was how to shoot somebody who outdrew you it's not a cry that you hear at night it's not somebody who's seen the light it's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah
To those who know what the title means, then you already know what this post is about.
I'm currently digging this song by Khalil Fong, called Sing Along Song. It has a very jazzy tune to it. although I do feel the lyrics is a bit off, but I get what the singer is trying to convey. Its the melody and the mood of the song that really appeals to me.
Enjoy!
Lyrics:
I wrote this song it's not too long cos' I've been thinking 'bout you I wrote this song maybe I'm wrong To be caught up about you
Well I dont know what you think 'bout me Maybe you think nothing at all But maybe you could just lie to me And we could be in love you see
Oh it's a singalong song that's not too long It's when I think about you that I hear songs And you can singalong maybe if you want to Cos' baby I wrote this I wrote this for you
I wrote this song it's not too long Cos' I'm the one who loves you I wrote this song this can't be wrong I don't wanna smile without you
Well I just want to make you happy but maybe you want nothing at all and how I wish that you're meant to be forever and a day with me
Oh it's a singalong song that's not too long It's when I think about you that I hear songs And you can singalong maybe if you want to Cos' baby I wrote this I wrote this for you
In everyway you mean more to me than you'll ever know girl I'll do my best to show these words are true and if you'd like to make a song and be a perfect harmony with me I'd find the greatest words sing so we could write our own romance
Oh it's a singalong song that's not too long It's when I think about you that I hear songs And you can singalong maybe if you want to Cos' baby I wrote this I wrote this for you
Oh it's a singalong song that's not too long It's when I think about you that I hear songs And you can singalong maybe if you want to Cos' baby I wrote this I wrote this for you
This is currently on the airwaves now. Not bad... hehehe. Enjoy James Blunt's I'll Carry You Home. I know some of you are sick and tired of hearing his whiny voice, but hey this song appeals to me.
Lyrics:
Trouble is her only friend and he's back again. Makes her body older than it really is. She says it's high time she went away, No one's got much to say in this town. Trouble is the only way is down. Down, down. As strong as you were, tender you go. I'm watching you breathing for the last time. A song for your heart, but when it is quiet, I know what it means and I'll carry you home. I'll carry you home. If she had wings she would fly away, And another day God will give her some. Trouble is the only way is down. Down, down. As strong as you were, tender you go. I'm watching you breathing for the last time. A song for your heart, but when it is quiet, I know what it means and I'll carry you home. I'll carry you home. And they were all born pretty in New York City tonight, And someone's little girl was taken from the world tonight, Under the Stars and Stripes. As strong as you were, tender you go. I'm watching you breathing for the last time. A song for your heart, but when it is quiet, I know what it means and I'll carry you home. I'll carry you home.
